3 "Little White Lies" Moms Should Never Tell Their Doctor

3 "Little White Lies" Moms Should Never Tell Their Doctor

By Myla Madson

Women do a funny thing when they feel guilty. They tell little white lies. It's the lesser of two evils, but if you are talking with your doctor, you better shoot straight with her. Feeling guilty about some of the choices you make in your life could be the least of your worries, especially if you tell your doctor one of these little fibs:

"I eat right and exercise regularly"

If you need to lose a few pounds, or experienced diabetes or high blood pressure during pregnancy, lying to your doctor about eating right and exercising frequently could be more dangerous than you may think.

Honesty is always the best policy when talking with your doctor, and although you may feel uncomfortable admitting you're not doing the things necessary for optimum health, answering her questions honestly and completely will help her make a more accurate diagnosis of any problem you may be having. You could also be missing out on invaluable advice that could help you meet your weight loss goals, or more seriously, hiding the truth could make your condition worse.

"No, I don't Smoke"

Trying to avoid the "stop smoking lecture" you know for sure is coming? It's not worth it.

Lying to your doctor about smoking is dangerous and could lead to a misdiagnoses when it comes to conditions like asthma, allergies or slow healing after an illness or surgery.

Smokers using birth control pills or the Patch are also at an increased risk of developing blood clots which could lead to a heart attack or stroke.

You may also miss out on your doctor's advice on ways that could help you kick the habit. She can design a plan specific to you and possibly prescribe promising new smoking-cessation drugs that will greatly increase you chances of success.

"I feel fine"

Feeling fine physically is only half the consideration your doctor places on your overall health, especially if you've recently had a child.

Depression or anxiety are as serious a health issue as a prolonged cough or unexplained muscle soreness.

Depression can lead to migraines and sleeping problems as well as affecting the overall health of your family.

Research shows that children of depressed moms have an elevated risk of suffering from anxiety, depression or disruptive behavior.

Telling the truth is always the best policy, especially when your health is on the line. Bite the bullet and if for some reason you are just not comfortable with the look or lecture you receive, talk to your doctor about it. Most busy health care professionals have an absolutely horrid bedside manner! They are pressured to get to the point as quickly as possible and sometimes forget there is a very human, possibly very frightened person at the other end of their stethoscope.

A tip I always find useful when visiting with my doctor, especially if I am not feeling well, is to write down everything I can remember about my symptoms, timeliness and any medications I've been taking. You can do this during the inevitable "waiting room" period and will help you quickly recall all relevant information your doctor will need in treating you.

Internet Marketing Hype And Lies

Internet Marketing Hype And Lies

By Guido Nussbaum

"Make $10.000 a month"... "Earn $5000 monthly within 30 days"... we all see these headlines at least once a day while surfing the net. All of us were beginners at some point in our marketing career and most of us took one or more of these Super Offers. If you have been there, then you know what I am talking about... if not, then read this article and save tons of cash.

As a newbie in internet marketing you need to get that thought "I can make some fast cash online" out of your head as fast as possible. It's the cold hard truth that making money on the internet is not easy. If you are just starting out with no or just little investment capital and small knowledge about this biz, then be aware that you will most likely fail with your first projects. That's just life... learn from it and become better. Those that don't give up after failing will eventually be the next big names of internet marketing.

It's all about learning, testing, tracking and coming up with the right idea at the right time. You cannot simply pull up a website, put some ads on it and start to make a full-time income... that just won't happen. You need to develop a real business plan first... after you spotted your high demand niche. You need to create a product line, your sales funnel and most importantly a system that automates most of your tasks.

Treat your online business like a real business. An 8 hour day is nothing for a self-employed business man, most of them work 12 and more hours every day (or they did this in the past to get where they are). Forget about the idea of becoming rich quick, it won't happen. Concentrate on building a solid business plan and putting that plan into reality, step by step.

Testing and tracking is the most overlooked tasks by newbies. Many people make the mistake to pull up a website that sells affiliate products... they test nothing. Then if they make no sales they turn away and try a different way to make money... they'll end up with nothing. That's why you need to start tracking everything... you need to find out what works and what does not work.

It all starts with your Squeeze Page / Opt-In Page, the front-end of your sales funnel. You test and track different Squeeze Pages and different elements on these Squeeze Pages to get the maximum number of signups out of your visitors. Once this task is mastered you test and improve your One-Time-Offer that you place in front of your signups after they have confirmed to opt-in to you list. The conversion rates of one-time-offers can vary a lot... some marketers claim to get as much as 50% of their subscribers to buy the OTO. You can aim for a 3% or 5% when you start out, that's good enough for the beginning.

You basically continue with testing and tracking the various elements of your sales funnel until you know that your system is as profitable as it can get. Once this is mastered you can start to send traffic to your front-end of the sales funnel and rank in the profits.

5 Lies You Are Being Told About Getting Organized

5 Lies You Are Being Told About Getting Organized

By Jill Borash

1. Someone else can come “make” you organized.

Don’t get me wrong, the services of a professional organizer are useful and sometimes necessary in order to get you on the right track. But hiring a professional organizer will not, ultimately, change you. And changing yourself and how you organize yourself is the only way you are going to get any kind of organizational system to work for you. You can go ahead and hire a professional organizer to come in and get your life organized for you but it will fall apart unless you change how you think about being organized.

So how do you change how you think about organization? A good way to start is with one part of your routine. Let’s say that one part of your home that drives you crazy is your “to-be-filed” tray. It seems to be constantly overflowing and out of control. For the next 21 days, commit to doing your filing every day. Stick to this commitment for the full 21 days. If you miss a day, start back at day one the next day. Once you’ve reached that 21 day mark, congratulations, you’ve just made a new habit and in the process, changed how you think about organization.

2. Your goal is to get fully organized.

If you’re aiming to get your life fully organized, you’re in for a rude awakening. Life does not come in perfectly organized little packages so stop trying to force it to fit. Just like there is no point in your life where everything is perfect and going exactly how you want it, there is no point in your organization journey where everything is going to look exactly how you want it to. Just like life is a work in progress, so is organization.

So what does this mean for you? Be patient with yourself and accept that your life will not always look the way YOU want it to look. Accept that there will be chaos in your life and that sometimes there will be a whole lot more of it than you’d like there to be. You will never be fully organized in every area of your life. And thank goodness because life would be awful boring if that were the case.

3. There is a “right” way to be organized.

Getting organized does not come in a “one-size-fits-all” package. What works for me may not work for you. Organization is about creating a system that fits your needs and helps you save time, money and energy for other things in your life – the important things like spending more time with those you love. There is no “right” way to organize your life. There is no one system that works for everyone. You have to find a way of organizing that fits you, your lifestyle and your needs.

So how do you get organized in a way that works for you? Bottom line: experiment. Try out different methods, systems, tools and see what works for you. Would using a computer help you get organized or are you more of an on paper kind of person? Do you want to tackle your organization project all at once or would you rather handle it in pieces? Try out different ways of getting organized to see what works for you.

4. It is easy to get organized.

If it were easy, you would have already done it by now. Are there techniques and methods that make it easier to get done than others? Of course there are. Is it easy to start an organization project? Yes. Is it easy to finish it? No. You’re human. You get side-tracked and distracted. We all have the best of intentions to get ourselves organized but often lack the follow-through to see it through to the finish.

So how do you make yourself finish your organization project? Attach some pain to not getting it finished. Selfish little creatures that we are, we are often more motivated by avoiding pain than by just about anything else in our lives. Attach some serious pain to not getting that project done and you’ve just upped the ante considerably for yourself. And make it motivating pain, the kind of pain your parents caused you when they wouldn’t let you go to the concert of your favorite band because you didn’t mow the yard.

5. The way you are organized right now is wrong.

If the piles of paper lining your desk work for you, go with them. If you have a system that works for you, don’t change it. People often get tied to “conventional” ways of getting or being organized. Task lists, organizers are all the traditional methods of getting yourself organized. If you organize with stacks and piles, go with it. Organization is about being able to put your hands on what you need when you need it. If your organization method works for you but doesn’t look pretty, who cares? Your method isn’t wrong. It’s just different. Embrace your uniqueness.

Just like you’re in charge of your own life, you’re in charge of your own organizational path. Don’t let someone else tell you how you “have” to be organized.

So let’s summarize:

·Change how you think about organization. Develop a new 21-day habit.

·Accept that you will never be fully organized and learn to embrace a certain level of chaos in your life.

·Experiment to find out what organizational method works best for you.

·Attach some pain to not getting your organization project finished.

·If you have an unconventional way of being organized, embrace it and stop trying to fix what isn’t broken.

My sister lied me

In the Republic of Macedonia recently there was enforced a law about spiting in public places. This law is fundamental of this lie.I can't remember the day, but anyway, it was a shopping day.My sister and my mother went out for shopping, but I stayed home, surprisingly. They were out for a while, then the arrived at home, showed me what they bought and then me and my sister went in our room.We started talking about how did they spend the day, who they saw, how much money they spend etc. And then my sister started telling me about a funny thing that happened where the main role was my mother. And it is connected with the law mentioned above. Maybe you are already guessing what happened. So, as they were walking around the city center, they were talking about the law and about the penalty that is supposed to be paid if law is disobeyed. But there are some situations when you simply just have to spit. That day my mother was in that situation. Legal or not, she decided to disobey and to spit on the ground. Not a nice picture too, to see a woman spitting on the street, but when you must, that's it. The funny thing is that in the moment when she spat there was an officer right in front of her. She almost spit him. There is no escaping from that situation. My sister told me that my mother laughed, pulled out the money and paid the penalty directly to the officer. This situation was so funny for me and I laughed and I even wanted to make fun to my mother because of that. So I did. I went in the room where she was sitting and ask her to give me the same amount of money that she paid to the officer. And I told her to be very careful in future cause she might end up behind bars. But, my mother looked at me and asked me what am I talking about. I thought she is trying to bail and I continued to play like I am the officer, but she really did not have an idea what am I talking. So I asked her did some of the things that my sister told to me, really happened and my mother responded negative. This was a moment where I found my self very ashamed cause in a way I disrespected my mother and at the same time very angry to my sister because all the time she was making fun of me. But it all ended up in a good way, we all laughed and imagining the situation, realized that the law is not stupid and we should respect it.

This is really smart girl

I heard about this while a party was going on and it was so interesting, that we wanted to do it ourselves. But,we boys, can't.Anyway, the story goes...It's about a girl but some special girl though.I don't know her, but listening the story and the thing she did, i can realize what type of girl she is.But,psychology aside,i can't wait to tell you what she did. Some night, she went out with her friends, said goodbye to her mother and told her that she won't be late. But,she went to a party where everybody was drinking and she was a kind of girl that enjoys drinking. So, one toast every fifteen minutes and everybody at the party including our girl got drunk. The party was going on,it became late, and still drunk, our girl had to go home. And here is the moment when she told a lie.Her mother was awake when she came in home and when she saw her drunk, started yelling to her, that she is not supposed to do that, she is a girl, what will everybody think of her and stuff like that. But what happens, the girl looks her mother in the eyes and tells her: "Mom,I'm not drunk, I'm pregnant".The mother changes the look of her face, sits down and starts crying. It's so different now.She asks the daughter how did that happened, who's the boy and continues crying. The girl looks at her, picks her up from the ground and tells to her mother: "Mom I was kidding, I'm not pregnant, I'm just drunk".And what happens? The mother stops crying, she reliefs, says thanks to God and tells to the girl to go to bed.And no consequences. The girl was never said anything about the drinking again, ever.Nice way to sort things out, isn't it?
